About Chronic back pain

Chronic back pain management can have physical and emotional benefits. Chronic pain's emotional effects include depression, anger, anxiety, and fear of re-injury which may hinder the ability to return to work or once enjoyable activities.
The emotional toll of chronic pain also can make pain worse. Anxiety, stress, depression, anger, and fatigue interact in complex ways with chronic pain and may decrease the body's production of natural painkillers; moreover, such negative feelings may increase the level of substances that amplify sensations of pain, causing a vicious cycle of pain.

I have signed on to a yahoo group called pumpsters for those of you interested or your doctors have mentioned the possibility of a pain pump helping your chronic pain. It certainly helped me in deciding to have the trial done and now going to have the implant done.

I know or I hope many of you like myself have gotten online and done quiet a bit of research on your condition and the treatments etc for your chronic pain. I am not an expert by any means but I will be gathering information and new information that I will post on here so that you can gain the knowledge or just a place to go and research if needed. Here is one that has some good information I thought I would share it.
